The girl on the news
By pool Cookson

Was my age
Liked the same music
Even had the same trainers

Had a David Beckham shirt
Watched coronation street
And did Irish dancing

Loved books by JK Rowing
And Jacqueline Wilson had the full sets
Just like me

For dinner shed had a chicken sandwich
Crisps and a mars bar ice cream
I love them. They are my favourites too

She love the park… so do I
In fact that was the last place anyone saw her
Before she was …

If shed been at my school.
We would have been friends
Best friends. Definitely best friend

But she won’t now .missing for ten days
and ever though nobodys said so we sort of know
theres not going to be a happy ending

She was my age. Just like me.
It could have been me that was taken
I could have been the girl on the news

she have the same colour eyes
And I was going to do my hair like that.
Exactly like that.....
But I don’t think I will now
I don’t think I will now.
